1. What does MoLAA stand for?


Museum of Latin American Art

2. What are the video clips about?


The first clip is a general overview of the museum and what it offers
The second clip was about the art itself
The third clip is an interview about the museum with the director

3. What did you learn from the video clips (3 facts per clip; total 9 facts)?


Clip 1:


1. It was founded because there was no Latin America museum in the country
2. There are educational activities and special events often
3. Most of the artists displayed are still living today and very well known in their country


Clip 2:


1. Even though the artists are from different countries, their art is still very similar
2. The museum has not only paintings but sculptures, dioramas, photographs, and mixed media
3. The museum contains contemporary and older art

1. The museum is basically painting and sculpture that represents artist from all over Latin America
2. The museum has thousands of kids that visit every year
3. The museum has art workshops so that the children can get a hands-on experience

1. The museum is currently running an exhibit on Cuban artist Carlos Luna that goes through August 31st. The exhibit has 17 paintings that were recently done by the artist.
2. The museum holds an art auction every year where they auction off over 200 paintings, statues, etc. This auction helps fund the museums various events and educational programs.
3. The museum offers Salsa Dance classes every Wednesday for adults and every Tuesday for children. The classes are fairly inexpensive; only $50 for a complete class series.
